We cut this swim skirt with a generous 20.2 inch length that sits near the knee. The high rise features a 4.2 inch wide elastic panel across the front that lies flat against the waist. Underneath, a sewn-in brief keeps everything opaque and in place when you get in the water.

- Cut and length The outer skirt measures 20.2 inches from waistband to hem on our flat board. Functional side ties let you gather the side seams to raise the hemline slightly or leave the fabric fully extended.
- Waist construction A 4.2 inch high waistband anchors the piece well above the hip. We built a firm elastic panel directly into the front section so the band holds its shape without rolling down as you swim.
- Sewn in brief An attached panty made from moisture-wicking stretch knit is stitched directly into the waist seam. It provides full seat coverage under the outer skirt and prevents the navy fabric from clinging when wet.
- Fabric and sizing The shell is an 82 percent nylon and 18 percent spandex blend with dense four-way stretch. Because this pattern has a firm, close fit through the hips, check our size chart and consider ordering one size up.

This does NOT have tummy control so not sure why it says it does. There's absolutely no tightness or restraint in the fabric that smoothes out anything
This is an adorable bathing suit skirt. You can shorten or lengthen it. My thighs sag badly after losing weight, so the coverage is perfect. It is a little long in the torso, for me. It comes up to maybe 3-4 inches from my breasts. Which is ok, since I'm a little too old to be hanging out all over the place. Stretch is great.
