We cut this swim skirt with an 18.1 inch outseam to fall above the knee. The high waist uses a wide elastic band across the front, and a full brief is sewn directly into the inner waistband. Side ties let you cinch the outer fabric higher on the leg when you want less drag in the water.

• Measured hem length The outseam measures 18.1 inches from the top of the waistband down to the flat hem. Pull ties on the side allow you to gather the skirt upward to adjust where it rests on the leg.
• Internal brief construction A full coverage brief is sewn into the waistband so the bottom layer stays stationary while swimming. The inner leg openings are finished with soft elastic to prevent the brief from shifting or riding up.
• Stretching nylon fabric We use a lightweight blend of 82 percent nylon and 18 percent spandex. It holds its shape when wet, dries quickly after you leave the pool, and resists salt water and chlorine wear.
• Waistband and sizing A wide elastic panel sits high on the waist without folding over. This pattern runs smaller than our standard block, so we recommend ordering one size up from your usual waist measurement on our chart.
